Down the AI Rabbit Hole follows one person's attempt to understand what modern AI actually is, what it can do, what it cannot do, and why so many of the words surrounding it—reasoning, understanding, intelligence, consciousness, relationship—become surprisingly difficult once a machine begins doing things those words once seemed to describe only in humans.
The journey moves from technology into questions about trust, work, purpose, society, human-AI relationships, and the increasingly difficult question of what these systems are actually for.
Part memoir, part inquiry, and part Wonderland, the book does not ask the reader to join either the AI enthusiasts or the AI doomsayers. It asks something simpler.
